    Associate, Project Designer at Baskervill

    Thoughtful and detail-oriented, Debra Nemeth brings solid project management skills and fresh perspectives to her work in the Manufacturing + Logistics studio. With a Master of Science in Sustainable Environmental Design from the prestigious Architectural Association in London, Debra is passionate about designing responsible architecture with minimal environmental impact. Before joining Baskervill she worked on a number of noteworthy projects including a renovation for the US headquarters of Independent Container Lines and the Maynard H. Jackson, Jr. Terminal at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
    Debra Nemeth is a Project Designer / Project Manager for the Manufacturing + Logistics studio at Baskervill. She has a MARCH from Tulane University and a MSc in Sustainable Environmental Design from the Architectural Association in London. She has a passion for designing responsible architecture with minimal environmental impact.
    Deb has been with Baskervill for 10 years, representing a myriad of sectors including logistics, manufacturing, industrial, and shell development. Before focusing on Manufacturing and Logistics, Deb had a wide exposure to commercial projects, ranging from the Maynard H. Jackson Jr. Terminal at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, West End Orthopedics, Martha Jefferson MOB, Mondial Headquarters Renovation, Independent Container Lines Headquarters and more. Deb really enjoys being part of utilitarian (form-follows-function) industrial facility work – the beauty is in the details!

    Travers graduated from the Virginia Military Institute and in his free time is a competitive endurance athlete, and head high school wrestling coach at The New Community School and youth coach for the Richmond Wrestling Club. He lives in Hanover County, Virginia with his wife and their three children.

    Laura Swankler

    Senior Manager, Port Centric Logistics at Virginia Port Authority

    Laura Swankler joined the Virginia Port Authority (VPA) in 2011 and currently serves as
    the Senior Manager for Port Centric Logistics. In this role, she oversees The Port of
    Virginia's Foreign Trade Zone Grant of Authority and manages key relationships with
    economic development organizations, industrial developers, brokers, site location
    consultants, and beneficial cargo owners. Throughout her tenure at the Port, she has
    played a pivotal role in facilitating job creation and capital investment by successfully
    recruiting and expanding port-related speculative development, distribution, transload,
    cross-dock, and manufacturing facilities, leading to consistent year-over-year growth in
    container volume.
    Laura earned her bachelor's degree in Political Science from North Carolina State
    University and completed her master's degree in Public Administration with a focus on
    Port and Maritime Administration at Old Dominion University.

    Brian Witthoefft is a Principal and Managing Director of Lingerfelt. He oversees all aspects of the leasing and marketing of Lingerfelt’s portfolio. Brian serves as a member of the Investment Committee and has been essential in the acquisition and development of Lingerfelt’s current owned portfolio of nearly 6 million square feet, including over 2.5 million square feet of industrial in Central Virginia. Since 2003, Brian has gained expertise and knowledge through multiple sectors of the commercial real estate industry, including third-party investment sales and brokerage with CB Richard Ellis, institutional experience in the public REIT sector with Liberty Property Trust, and private sector experience in development and acquisitions with Lingerfelt. Brian is a graduate of James Madison University, holds the SIOR and CCIM designations, is a member of the Richmond Real Estate Group and the VCU Real Estate Circle of Excellence and sits on the boards of the Greater Richmond Association of Commercial Real Estate, ChildSavers, and St. Michael's Episcopal School.
